Description
The water impermeability tester with 6 test points according to EN 12390-8 determines the penetration depth of water under pressure in a concrete sample. The test is performed by clamping the specimen – cubic, cylindrical or prismatic with an edge length or diameter of at least 150 mm – between two flanges with special rubber gaskets. The water is then applied to the surface of the concrete sample under controlled pressure. Water penetration is measured by breaking the specimen after the test period. The amount of water penetrated can also be measured by the measuring burettes attached on the device.
